Research on Electromagnetic Thermal of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Short-term High Overload

With the development of all-electric technology, electric steering gear is widely used in aerospace, military applications and other fields. The rudder system motor requires high power density, high dynamic response and high reliability. Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is widely used in servo system because of its simple structure, high torque density, high power density and high efficiency. High power density motor generally refers to high speed high power density motor and high torque high power density motor. For the steering gear system, it is mainly a high torque density motor, which can meet the high dynamic response performance in the process of frequent acceleration. There are many researches on high torque density motors at home and abroad, with various structures, such as high temperature superconducting motors, slotless cylindrical linear motors, transverse flux motors, switched reluctance motors, etc. Although the power density of this kind of motor is very high, its technical development is still not mature enough, and the reliability can not be guaranteed. In this paper, the rotating surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor is mainly used. Short-term high overload motor means that the motor can output instantaneous large overload in a short-term state when the motor speed is constant, and complete the predetermined action of the actuator. In recent years, the study of short-term high overload motor is increasing, domestic Harbin Institute of Technology, Tianjin University, etc. have done a lot of work, foreign research on the thermal aspects of short-term cycle working motor is more. On the whole, scholars at home and abroad mainly focus on the analysis of high power density and temperature field for short-term high overload motors, and lack of analysis and research on how to improve the limit torque output capacity of the motor and the influence of the external environment on short-term high overload motors. Based on the actual engineering background, this paper analyzes the influence of electromagnetic load on motor overload capacity. By analyzing the influence law of ampere-turns on the limit torque of permanent magnet synchronous motor, the number of turns in series of each phase winding of the motor is optimized, the influence of overload multiple on the loss distribution law of the motor is analyzed, and the temperature rise change law of the motor under long-term working system, short-term cycle working system and short-term high overload conditions under different environmental temperatures is analyzed by finite element method. The correctness of theoretical analysis is verified by experiments.
